The beginning
To switch on English or German subtitles, start the video; then click the triangle icon in the bottom right corner of the video frame; and select the desired subtitles from the second icon from below (a red shape with two white lines).

Sveiki! I am too trying to become Latvian. I absolutely adore the culture and I am trying my best one step one: learning Latvian. I have been learning for one week and find it rather difficult - still learning the basics. I have a question for you, how long (cik ilgi?) did it take you to learn Latvian? To me, a non native Latvian, you sound perfect - how long did it take you to learn and what methods did you find were most useful? I am following your blog with devotion (I found it yesterday) and was amazed at your courage and determination. What is your motivation? It would be good to hear from you as I am sure I can learn alot. Ar cienu, Ben!
Well, interesting and fun project. BUT I think you actually are too much latvian from the beginning of the project- You speaks fairly well latvian... You actually speaks better Latvian than some peoples that has lived her whole their life..
